1. Who we are
Sanjay Pathak is the developer of Pabble and the controller of the account, gameplay, support, and safety information described in this policy. Contact: playpabble@gmail.com.
Some third parties, including app stores and advertising partners, determine their own purposes and means of processing for certain information. Their privacy notices also apply to their processing.
2. Information we process
- Account and sign-in data: username, internal account identifier, email when you provide one, guest-account status, and identifiers or authentication results received when you use Apple or Google sign-in. Pabble does not receive your Apple or Google password.
- Gameplay and service data: matches, words submitted, scores, ratings or rankings, match results, game progress, virtual-currency balance, owned or equipped themes, timestamps, and connection status.
- Purchase data: product, entitlement, transaction identifiers, and purchase or restoration status. Apple or Google processes payment details; Pabble does not receive your full payment-card number.
- Safety and support data: player reports, report reason and match reference, blocked-player identifiers, moderation status, screenshots or details you choose to send, and support communications.
- Technical and security data: IP address, device and operating-system information, app version, network and request information, timestamps, error information, and signals used to secure accounts, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect purchases.
- Advertising data: consent or privacy choices, approximate location inferred from IP address, device and advertising identifiers where permitted, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals. The exact data depends on your device, region, age category, permissions, and the ad partner that serves the ad.
We receive information directly from you, from your use of Pabble, and from service providers such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Yodo1 MAS, ad networks, and infrastructure providers.
3. Why we use information
| Purpose | Information typically involved | Legal basis where required |
|---|---|---|
| Provide accounts, matchmaking, gameplay, progress, and requested features | Account, sign-in, gameplay, and connection data | Performance of our contract with you |
| Process, restore, and protect purchases and virtual items | Account, product, entitlement, and transaction data | Contract; legal obligations; legitimate interests in fraud prevention |
| Keep Pabble safe, enforce rules, investigate reports, and prevent cheating or abuse | Account, gameplay, reports, blocks, technical and security data | Legitimate interests in service integrity and player safety; legal obligations where applicable |
| Answer support and privacy requests | Contact, account, request, and relevant service data | Contract; legal obligations; legitimate interests in customer support |
| Show, measure, secure, and where allowed personalize ads | Advertising, device, consent, approximate-location, and interaction data | Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests or another basis permitted by law |
| Operate, troubleshoot, and improve reliability | Technical, network, error, and aggregated gameplay data | Legitimate interests in maintaining and improving Pabble |
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent for future processing. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier consent-based processing unlawful and does not prevent gameplay; contextual or non-personalized ads may still appear.
4. Advertising and tracking choices
Pabble uses Yodo1 MAS to mediate ads from multiple advertising networks. Rewarded ads are offered when you choose an advertised reward. Interstitial ads may appear at natural transitions. Ad availability varies.
On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission controls whether an app may access the device advertising identifier and track activity across other companies' apps or websites. Granting that permission does not guarantee that every ad will be personalized, and declining it does not remove ads. Regional consent and age rules also apply.
You can open Pabble Settings → Advertising Privacy Choices to review an available consent form. Where offered, Do Not Sell or Share asks Yodo1 MAS and participating partners not to use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can also change Pabble's tracking permission in iOS Settings.
Sanjay Pathak does not sell personal information for money. Advertising disclosures to partners may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some US state laws; use the in-app privacy choices to opt out where applicable.
For more detail about Yodo1's own processing, read the Yodo1 Privacy Policy and our Advertising & Privacy Choices page.
5. When information is shared
We disclose information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above:
- Sign-in providers: Apple and Google, when you choose their sign-in service.
- Purchases: Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat for purchase processing, entitlement management, restoration, and fraud prevention.
- Advertising: Yodo1 MAS and participating ad networks for ad delivery, measurement, privacy choices, security, fraud prevention, and permitted personalization.
- Operations: cloud hosting, database, network, security, and support providers acting for us.
- Legal and safety: advisers, authorities, courts, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or handle a business reorganization.
Providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers use legally recognized safeguards, adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
6. How long information is kept
Account and gameplay information is generally kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, Pabble removes or de-identifies the associated information from active systems, subject to technical processing time and the limited exceptions below.
We may keep limited transaction, fraud, security, moderation, support, or legal records only for as long as required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend claims; prevent repeat abuse; maintain financial records; resolve disputes; or document completion of a privacy request. Backups are isolated from ordinary use and expire through the provider's normal replacement cycle.
Retention by Apple, Google, Yodo1, an ad network, or another independent provider is governed by that provider's policy.
7. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of personal information; object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; appeal a denied request; and complain to a data-protection or consumer-protection authority.
- Delete: use Pabble Settings → Account Options → Delete Account, or follow the web deletion instructions.
- Advertising: use Pabble Settings → Advertising Privacy Choices, the Do Not Sell or Share option where available, and your device privacy settings.
- Other requests: email playpabble@gmail.com and describe the right you want to exercise.
We may verify your identity and account ownership before fulfilling a request. Authorized agents may be asked for proof of authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Children
Pabble is not directed to children under 13. A higher minimum age or parental authorization may apply where local law requires it. Pabble enables Yodo1's age and privacy flow so advertising can be restricted based on the age category and legal framework provided to the ad SDK.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without the authorization required by law, email playpabble@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Security and policy changes
We use measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, device-protected credential storage, access controls, request validation, rate limiting, and data minimization. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
We may update this policy when Pabble, its providers, or legal requirements change. The date above will be revised. Where required, material changes will also be presented in the app or through another appropriate notice before they take effect.
